The wall trade

There are a lot of setups you can use to place a trade with a high probability. One of those setups is what I call the opening wall play.

All good setups have a background idea that makes sense. So, let’s explore that one first before we go further.

The idea behind the opening wall play is that traders are looking for a balance, more than at any other time in the day, at the beginning of the trading session. So you get a lot of orders from traders that want to sell or want to buy at the first couple of minutes in the open. Now smart traders, wait for what I call the wall. The price goes in a direction and suddenly it hits the wall and turns. That wall is typically at a Value area of a previous session. Right at that point, you have a great trade.

Of course, you have to manage the trade and know what to look for, before you pull the trigger, but you can use a tight stop and let your profit run.

I know a lot of my students that use only that setup and quit for the day. With enough size, you are able to make a decent living out of it.
